The Houston Astros won't retain third-base coach Gary Pettis, who was on the staff during each of the team's seven consecutive appearances in the American League Championship Series, The Athletic reported Monday.
He had been on the coaching staff since the start of the 2015 season and worked under managers A.J. Hinch, Dusty Baker and Joe Espada.
