2024 Heisman Trophy odds tracker, Week 10: Dillon Gabriel surges, Ashton Jeanty slides

Folks, we’ve finally made it. Cutdown week. Until Friday, every edition of this tracker featured the top 10 odds on the board at BetMGM. That’s no longer necessary. While we still consider 12 players in contention for the Heisman Trophy, they only account for the top eight odds listed on the board.

The cutoff this week was 66-1. Anyone with odds longer than those won’t be featured moving forward. At BetMGM, the next-shortest odds are 100-1. After that, it’s 250-1. Even oddsmakers are cutting their markets, too. BetMGM’s board decreased from 44 candidates in Week 3, to 36 in Week 8 to 21 in Week 10.

There’s also some shakeup at the top this week. After a three-week stretch where Boise State tailback Ashton Jeanty held strong as the overall favorite, Oregon quarterback Dillon Gabriel has retaken the lead.
