One of the top rushers in college football will be featured when Dylan Sampson and the Tennessee Volunteers (7-1) take on the Mississippi State Bulldogs (2-7) on Saturday, November 9, 2024.
The Volunteers enter the matchup after winning 28-18 over the Kentucky Wildcats in their last outing on Nov. 2. The Bulldogs are coming off of a victory over the UMass Minutemen by the score of 45-20. Nico Iamaleava had 292 yards on 28-of-38 passing (73.7%) for the Vols in that matchup against the Wildcats, with one touchdown and no interceptions. Sampson totaled 142 rushing yards on 27 carries (5.3 yards per carry), scoring two touchdowns on the ground. He also had one catch for nine yards. Miles Kitselman led the receiving charge against the Wildcats, catching six passes for 97 yards and one touchdown. Michael Van Buren Jr.’s showing for the Bulldogs against the Minutemen included 14-of-25 passing for 222 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions. He rushed nine times for 14 yards and two touchdowns. Johnnie Daniels carried the ball six times for 92 yards and one touchdown. Jordan Mosley caught four passes on five targets for 107 yards (26.8 yards per reception).
