a href='https://www.atptour.com/en/players/sander-arends/ac55/overview'Sander Arends/a and a href='https://www.atptour.com/en/players/luke-johnson/j543/overview'Luke Johnson/a ended a href='https://www.atptour.com/en/players/pierre-hugues-herbert/h996/overview'Pierre-Hugues Herbert/a and a href='https://www.atptour.com/en/players/albano-olivetti/o411/overview'Albano Olivetti/arsquo;s hopes of winning a title together on home soil at the a href='https://www.atptour.com/en/tournaments/metz/341/overview'Moselle Open/a on Saturday. /p
pThe Dutch-British pair rallied to defeat Herbert and Olivetti 6-4, 3-6, 10-3 to clinch the a href='https://www.atptour.com/en/tournaments/metz/341/overview'Moselle Open/a crown. Buoyed by the home support, Herbert and Olivetti's second-set comeback wasnrsquo;t enough, as Arends and Johnson proved too strong to seal their first tour-level title as a team. /p
pThe two fended off the challenge posed by the Frenchmen in one hour and 18 minutes. They fired 10 aces and saved five of the seven break points they faced. /p
pldquo; It was really difficult for us to play against you today, rdquo; said Arends in the post-match interview. ldquo;I felt like I didnrsquo;t play [against] two guys, I played against [about] 2000 guys.rdquo;/p
pHerbert and Olivetti were aiming to become the first all-French team to clinch the title in Metz since a href='https://www.atptour.com/en/players/nicolas-mahut/m873/overview'Nicolas Mahut/a and a href='https://www.atptour.com/en/players/edouard-roger-vasselin/r613/overview'Edouard Roger-Vasselin/a achieved the feat in 2018./p
