The Trail Blazers perfectly shut down a gambler's complaint about NBA injuries with a single screenshot

Injuries are a drag. We don’t have to lie about that part. They suck. Nobody likes them.

At the same time, when we show up to watch sports, we show up knowing someone may get hurt. That’s the reality of the situation. When it happens, the next man steps up, the team moves on and eventually us fans have to move on too. When you can’t, you might just have a problem.

One “fan” on social media had an especially hard time moving on after Portland Trail Blazers guard Anfernee Simons was ruled out of Tuesday’s game with a chest injury, responding to the team’s announcement by complaining about his parlay.

It’s a great response for two reasons. One, it was just a good burn that shut down a ridiculous and selfish complaint. But two, it might end up helping someone who possibly does have a gambling problem.

We aren’t even talking about a star like Joel Embiid or even Zion Williamson who got hurt. It was Anfernee Simons. Get a grip, my guy.
