Ruben Dias snaps at reporter and says ‘maybe have a think about that’ in prickly interview after defeat to Liverpool
RUBEN DIAS defended himself and his teammates in a prickly post-match interview after Man City extended their dire winless streak on Sunday.
City are now winless in SEVEN games in all competitions after they fell to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of title rivals Liverpool at Anfield.
The Cityzens were outplayed by Liverpool who extended their lead over the four-in-a-row champions to a whopping 11 points.
While City have now drawn just one game in their last seven matches, losing the other six.
The unfamiliar sticky patch has naturally left many asking questions, but City vice-captain Dias reckons that his team have got it sussed given their immense success in the past.
When asked by Swedish media outlet Viaplay how the players can take responsibility and turn their form around, Dias gave a snappy response to remind the reporter of his stacked trophy cabinet.
He replied: “You know that you’re talking to one of the players of one of the teams in the world who has won the most in recent years.
“So maybe have a think about that and be sure that we know how to deal with it”.
Pep Guardiola was keen to remind fans that his team are one of the most successful sides in recent history too.
Following the defeat the City boss held up six fingers to the fans to represent the six Premier League titles he has won in the last seven seasons.

Explaining his uncharacteristic six-finger salute, Guardiola told his post-match press conference that he was reacting to chants of “you’re getting sacked in the morning”.
He said: “All the stadiums want to sack me, it started at Brighton.
“Maybe they are right with the results we’ve been having.
“I didn’t expect that at Anfield. They didn’t do it at 1-0, but at 2-0. Maybe they should have sung it in the past.
“I didn’t expect it from the people from Liverpool but it’s fine, it’s part of the game, and I understand completely.”
