Third Quarter Run Leads Thunder Past Minnesota

0

The Oklahoma City Thunder went on a 36-to-10 run to end the third quarter and never trailed again in a 113-to-105 win over Minnesota on Tuesday night in Oklahoma City.

The Thunder trailed by 12 early in the third quarter, before blitzing the Timberwolves with a run that took charge of the game.

OKC scored 43 points in the third quarter alone as they won their seventh straight game and 12th in their last 13.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led OKC with 40 points, with 19 coming in the third quarter.

Three other Thunder players scored in double figures.

Isaiah Hartenstein had 15 points and 10 rebounds.

Jalen Wililams and Luguentz Dort had 14 points each, with Dort making four 3-pointers.

The Thunder were outshot and outrebounded, with Minnesota shooting 49 percent to OKC's 47 percent, and outrebounding OKC 43-37.

OKC made up for it by forcing 23 Timberwolves turnovers, with just nine of their own.

The Thunder improve to 27-5, and continue their five-game homestand Thursday night when they host the Los Angeles Clippers at 7:00.
