The Cotton Bowl will feature the No. 7 Ohio State Buckeyes (12-2) taking on the No. 4 Texas Longhorns (13-2) on Friday, January 10, 2025 for a spot in the College Football Playoff National Championship.
In their most recent game, the Buckeyes won 41-21 over the Oregon Ducks. Their last time out, the Longhorns won 39-31 over the Arizona State Sun Devils. Quinn Ewers notched 322 passing yards while going 20-for-30 with three touchdowns and one interception for the Horns against the Sun Devils. He added six carries for 1 yard and one touchdown. Quintrevion Wisner carried the ball 18 times for 45 yards. He caught four passes for 40 yards. Matthew Golden caught seven passes for 149 yards (21.3 yards per catch), scoring one touchdown.
