However, climbing any higher will need the backing of another new coach after Cavaday departed due to health issues.

The 38-year-old stepped down from his position to “get back to full health”.

Raducanu thanked Cavaday for his service after 14 months of working together.

She said: “I’d like to thank Nick for a great partnership over the last year and a bit, especially post-surgeries.

“I wish him all the best in his next chapter and no doubt we’ll stay in touch.”

Cavaday has known the Bromley-based star since she was ten years old.

On his exit, he said: “I am very happy to have been able to work with Emma over the last 14 months.

“At this moment in time, it’s important for me to spend some more time at home and prioritise getting back to full health, which is hard to do with the extensive calendar.

“I am glad Emma is back to being established on tour now with a ranking inside the top 60, and I look forward to seeing what she does from here.”

Raducanu was managed by Nigel Sears and Andrew Richardson in her breakout 2021 year and later Torben Beltz, Dmitry Tursunov and Sebastian Sachs before Cavaday took the reigns.

It means she will be left with new fitness trainer Yutaka Nakamura to oversee her preparation she prepares for next weeks WTA 250 in Singapore.

In her last outing in Melbourne, Raducanu upset 26th seed Ekaterina Alexandrova and Amanda Anisimova in straight sets before falling to No.2 seed Iga Swiatek, who she is yet to win against in her career.

Those exploits have seen her move up to No.58 in the world after a solid comeback year including an impressive showing for Britain in the Billie Jean King Cup.
