Crystal Palace ready to complete ambitious £25m Strahinja Pavlovic transfer from AC Milan with Ben Chilwell also eyed
CRYSTAL PALACE boss Oliver Glasner wants to sign AC Milan centre-half Strahinja Pavlovic in a £25million deadline deal.
Glasner is a huge fan of the powerful Serb — who is a regular in Milan’s Serie A and Champions League campaigns — so it is an ambitious target.
Palace are interested in AC Milan star Strahinja Pavlovic[/caption]Pavlovic, 23, joined from RB Salzburg last summer but Glasner wants competition at the back and also has one eye on a long-term replacement for Marc Guehi.
Palace need cover after the loss of Trevoh Chalobah and injury to Chadi Riad.
Milan may hold out for £35m but the Eagles have funds to go close — with Tiago Djalo an alternative if Pavlovic is too dear.
Djalo, 24, is on loan at Porto from Juventus.
Palace would take him on loan or permanent.
Eagles are also keen on Ben Chilwell, 28, at Chelsea but his £185k-a-week wages would be a concern.
Glasner is also keeping an eye on Lyon magician Rayan Cherki, 21, who has been a long-term target.
Palace are 13th in the Premier League table going into Sunday’s fixtures.
