Willie Mullins’ awesome Grade 1 winner ‘all the rage’ after Nicky Henderson’s worrying Sir Gino update
WILLIE MULLINS’ awesome Grade 1 winner Majborough is ‘all the rage’ with punters – after Nicky Henderson’s worrying Sir Gino update.
Last year’s Triumph Hurdle winner showed he had a serious engine with victory in the Irish Arkle earlier this month.
While a flesh wound meant Henderson’s superstar novice missed his intended run in last weekend’s Game Spirit Chase at Newbury.

Henderson sounded more than a little worried about Sir Gino’s condition when speaking on Luck On Sunday yesterday.
He said the whole situation was ‘horrible’ – coming almost a year since he was forced to pull a load of his horses from the Festival.
And while punters had been piling Sir Gino into multiples for this year, bookies are now pushing his price out ahead of a further update from the Seven Barrows boss.
Coral make Sir Gino the 10-11 fav from 8-11 for the Grade 1 2m novice chase on day one.
While Majborough has hardened into 5-4 from 7-4.
Coral’s David Stevens: “Having proved his wellbeing with his victory at the Dublin Racing Festival, Majborough has been all the rage with punters since news of Sir Gino’s injury broke on Friday.
“And with the betting getting closer between the pair, it wouldn’t be a shock if the Irish runner joined, or even replaced, the latter at the head of the market in the coming days.”
While Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Sir Gino’s Newbury no show has led punters to believe Majborough could be the one to beat in this year’s Arkle.
“We wouldn’t be surprised to see him leapfrog the former in the betting over the next few weeks.”
