Alalshikh intends to have Eubank vs Benn winner face Canelo

The winner of Chris Eubank vs Conor Benn will be in line for a future shot at Canelo, which could be worth a lot of money.

A fight between Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn is officially back on the schedule for April 26 after their originally planned back in late 2022 was canceled due to Benn testing positive for a banned substance. It’s been a long road back for Benn since then, but the stakes in the rivalry with Eubank has seemingly gotten higher as Turki Alalshikh has expressed his interest in making the winner of Eubank vs Benn a future opponent for Canelo Alvarez.

“Whoever is the winner we are working in the future to have him fight against Canelo,” Alalshikh, Chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, told Sky Sports.

Earlier this month it was announced that Canelo had signed a four-fight deal with Riyadh Season and Alalshikh is already in the midst of planning out what’s to come for the Mexican star, mentioning that if Eubank beats Benn he’ll have the chance to face Canelo in early 2026.

But before we get to that point Alalshikh is looking to build the Eubank vs Benn fight into as big of an event as possible, with him looking to make an impression on fans during this week’s press conferences in Manchester and London.

Alalshikh also confirms that both Chris Eubank Sr, who has openly campaigned against this fight happening, as well as Nigel Benn will both be in attendance for the April fight, which will apparently also feature a 30-minute concert with ‘very famous artists.’
