Watch UFC veteran Robelis Despaigne obliterate opponent with 7-second knockout at Karate Combat 53
Former UFC heavyweight Robelis Despaigne seems to have been made for Karate Combat.
In his third promotional appearance, Despigne faced Roggers Souza in a main card matchup of Friday’s Karate Combat 53 event in Denver. After spending just a combined 16 seconds in the pit for his first two knockout wins since parting ways with the UFC, “The Big Boy” delivered another quick finish — this time, it took just seven seconds to get the job done.
Check out the highlight-reel finish in the video below.

Robelis Despaigne didn't need more than ONE PUNCH to take his opponent down, and another one to secure to win.
This is 3 out of 3....

The 36-year-old hurt Souza with the very first punch of the fight, and it arguably could’ve been stopped there, but the referee gave Souza every chance to stay in it. Unfortunately for him, Despaigne was perfectly accurate with the follow-up punches to secure the finish.
Despaigne had three fights in the UFC, including a sensational 18-second knockout in his octagon debut at UFC 299 in March 2023. The Cuban knockout artist was defeated via unanimous decision in his next two fights against Waldo Cortes-Acosta and Austen Lane as they implemented smart, grappling-heavy gameplans.
