Nasrat Haqparast suffered gruesome cut during UFC Vegas 103 win, doctor share before and after photos

Nasrat Haqparast might have a new scar after his fight against Esteban Ribovics.

Any damage was surely worth it after Haqparast scored the victory at UFC Vegas 103 on Saturday. During the three-round battle, Haqparast ultimately got the better of Ribovics via split decision, but he also suffered significant swelling and a gruesome cut under his left eye from the contest. Following the conclusion of the event, Dr. Greg Hsu, who serves as the UFC’s backstage physician during many events, posted a gruesome photo Haqparast in the aftermath of the fight.

In addition to the stomach-churning before and after photos from his stitch work, Hsu also relayed a great story about Haqparast reaching out to his opponent and coaches for a post-fight celebration that included everybody.

“While suturing Nasrat Haqparast, he asked his coaches to invite his opponent and as many of them to dinner,” Hsu wrote. “Nasrat has a big kind heart.”

Talk about a nice gesture after an absolute war in the octagon, which earned both athletes an extra $50,000 for Fight of the Night.

The victory also served as an impressive fifth consecutive win for Haqparast, who now his has longest streak since joining the UFC roster in 2017.
