Canucks' Brock Boeser injured in first minute vs. Blues, ruled out

Canucks winger Brock Boeser was knocked out of Vancouver's Thursday road game against the St. Louis Blues in the opening minute when a shot struck him in the lower midsection.

The team ruled him out for the night.

Boeser was helped off the ice 33 seconds after puck drop. Vancouver defenseman Elias Pettersson's slap shot from the point struck him at close range.
