March 12 – Football returns to Qatar on Thursday as the Qatar Stars League resumes following a nationwide suspension triggered by regional security concerns linked to the recent U.S. – Israeli military campaign against Iran.
Domestic sport across the country was halted on March 1 after Iranian missile and drone strikes led authorities to close Qatar’s airspace, prompting the Qatar Football Association to postpone competitions “until further notice”.
