Heavy gunfire, explosions reported from vicinity of royal palace in Riyadh

Gunfire and explosions are reportedly heard outside the palace of the Saudi king in Riyadh.

King Salman has been reportedly evacuated from the compound to a bunker at a military base in the capital. The number of assailants, their identity or affiliations is still unknown. But some sources say the attack is part of a coup led by princes who are opposed to the Saudi king.
