United's fifth Polaris Lounge opens at LAX [PHOTOS]

Last week United opened its fifth Polaris Lounge at Los Angeles International Airport's Terminal 7. It provided a media sneak peek on Thursday, and officially opened the lounge to business class passengers on Saturday, January 12. While most international flying at LAX starts and ends at the big Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT), United's transpacific flights take off from its recently renovated Terminal 7. That was a problem for United business class passengers before, because they had to trundle through the underground tunnels between the two terminals to enjoy a lounge experience at the Star Alliance lounge-- located in TBIT.
