Early morning fire in San Francisco injures 6, displaces 20
Six people were injured early Wednesday when a fire broke out at two adjacent homes in San Francisco, authorities said.
The San Francisco Fire Department responded just after midnight to the blaze at 70 Liebig St. and 72 Liebig St. The first engine arrived to people screaming for help from one house’s second-story window as flames and smoke were billowing out of the structure, officials said.
“We threw a ladder up there and were able to get him down within seconds of arriving on scene,” Fire Department spokesman Jonathan Baxter said.
