Warriors’ trip sets up perfectly for DeMarcus Cousins

You wouldn’t call it a breezy itinerary, not when the Warriors’ trip takes them away from home for two weeks. But the timing is perfect for DeMarcus Cousins, who makes his long-awaited return to the court Friday night.

Cousins will have five games under his belt, likely to have shaken a bit of rust, by the time Oracle Arena fans see him Jan. 31. The trip is especially comfortable, with no back-to-backs and a six-night stay (!) in Los Angeles. And perhaps most importantly, Cousins won’t see any of the NBA’s elite centers along the way.
