Vonn ties for 15th in her return from injury
CORTINA D'AMPEZZO, Italy — Lindsey Vonn got bounced off her line and finished tied for 15th in a World Cup downhill on Friday in her return from knee injuries.
Austrian Ramona Siebenhofer claimed her first career victory with a near-perfect run.
Vonn needs five more wins to break the all-time record of 86 held by Swedish standout Ingemar Stenmark. Vonn, who has a record 12 wins in Cortina, will compete in another downhill Saturday, followed by a super-G on Sunday.
Mikaela Shiffrin is sitting out the downhill to rest but will return for the super-G.
