WHL Roundup: Giants beat Chiefs 6-4 to pick up fifth straight win
SPOKANE, Wash. - Jared Dmytriw scored twice as the Vancouver Giants defeated the Spokane Chiefs 6-4 on Friday in Western Hockey League action.
Davis Koch scored the go-ahead goal at 11:11 of the third period while Dawson Holt chipped in with three assists.
Tristen Nielsen, Seth Bafaro and Justin Sourdif also scored for the Giants (28-12-2), who picked up their fifth win in a row.
Luc Smith struck twice and Nolan Reid and Filip Kral had the others for the Chiefs (24-14-4), who had their win streak snapped at four games.
David Tendeck kicked out 23 shots for Vancouver as Bailey Brkin stopped 28-of-33 shots for Spokane.
The Giants were 0 for 1 on the power play while the Chiefs went 3 for 3 with the man advantage.
