Gruden: Raiders lose QBs coach to Bengals
MOBILE, Ala. - At least two Raiders coaches from last season will not reprise their roles in 2019.
Quarterbacks coach Brian Callahan is leaving the Raiders to become the offensive coordinator of the Bengals, head coach Jon Gruden announced Tuesday during his Senior Bowl media session. The Bengals are expected to hire Rams assistant Zac Taylor as their new head coach but can’t officially until after the Super Bowl.
Callahan, the son of former Raiders head coach Bill Callahan, joined the Raiders with Gruden in 2018 after spending the previous two seasons as quarterbacks the coach in Detroit. Gruden said he is “really proud of (Callahan), happy for him.
