Photos of young Jared Goff, looking ready for Super Bowl at age 8

Bill Fox doesn’t even pretend to know he was watching a future Super Bowl quarterback, when he photographed Jared Goff on a Novato practice field in 2003.

But he does remember the 8-year-old for the San Marin Stallions had a certain poise.

“The quality I and everyone else noticed about Jared ... was he was just an extremely even-keeled kid,” Fox remembers. “While photographing he didn’t seem to get caught up in the energy and emotion of all the hyperactive kids that surrounded him.”

Goff went on to quarterback Marin Catholic High School, the California Bears and now the Los Angeles Rams now — set for a Super Bowl LIII showdown on Sunday, Feb. 3, against the New England Patriots.
