Siena and Canisius are tied for second in the MAAC with 8-4 league records. The Saints have been the biggest surprise in the league under new head coach Jamion Christian after being picked last in the preseason coaches poll. That game on the final weekend could have regular-season title implications.

The Saints (13-12 overall) have won four straight games and seven of eight.

That was enough to convince ESPNU to select the Siena-Canisius game as the last of five MAAC "wildcard" games broadcast during the regular season.

"The wildcard format allows ESPN to pick any game scheduled for that specific date to air on ESPNU and allows the MAAC and ESPN the flexibility to showcase the best matchups as the season progresses,'' the MAAC said in a news release.
