Warriors to ‘take a free swing’ against Trail Blazers
PORTLAND, Ore. — The Warriors will rest three key players — center DeMarcus Cousins, point guard Shaun Livingston and forward Andre Iguodala — Wednesday night against the Trail Blazers.
Golden State head coach Steve Kerr announced earlier this week that Cousins and Livingston would sit on the rough end of the back-to-back set. Asked Wednesday why he was resting Iguodala, Kerr said, "rest/a little banged up." Iguodala had been dealing with left hamstring tightness.
"You have a few games like this a year where you realize what you’re up against, just given the schedule," Kerr said. "Every team goes through it. You almost look at it like, ‘Let’s take a free swing. Let’s take a shot, see what we’ve got.
