Fargo police arrest school bus driver for drunken driving
FARGO, N.D. (AP) — Fargo police say a school bus driver has been arrested for drunken driving after the bus with children on board was seen serving down the street.
Police were dispatched about 3:30 p.m. Monday after getting a report of the bus operating recklessly with children running up and down the aisle. An officer caught up with the bus at Shanley High School and arrested the 71-year-old male driver for driving under the influence with minors in the vehicle. Police say he had a blood alcohol content of .12.
Authorities say the man worked for Valley Bus which contracted with JPII Catholic Schools. Administrators told middle and high school students to contact their parents to arrange alternate transportation.
