State board to vote on funding for FedEx project in Memphis
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — A Tennessee board is scheduled to vote on funding for economic development projects involving FedEx and a trucking company in Memphis.
An agenda for the March 8 meeting of the State Funding Board shows the body will address a report from the Department of Economic and Community Development outlining grants for five projects.
A $10 million FastTrack Economic Development Grant has been proposed for the establishment of a headquarters by FedEx Logistics in the former Gibson Guitar factory in downtown Memphis.
The board also is set to vote on a $1.2 million grant for JNJ Express trucking company to turn an abandoned shopping center into its new headquarters.
