The Chicago Blackhawks and Toronto Maple Leafs last met on October 7th, which was the third game of the season. Patrick Kane and Auston Matthews had a little back and forth action late in the third period, as both players scored goals in the final minutes of regulation. The Leafs would go on to win the game 7-6 in OT, but it wound up being one of the most entertaining games of the 2018-19 season for the Chicago Blackhawks.
