Zumiez: Fiscal 4Q Earnings Snapshot

LYNNWOOD, Wash. (AP) _ Zumiez Inc. (ZUMZ) on Thursday reported fiscal fourth-quarter earnings of $29.6 million.

The Lynnwood, Washington-based company said it had profit of $1.18 per share.

The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.11 per share.

The clothing retailer posted revenue of $304.6 million in the period, missing Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $306 million.

For the year, the company reported profit of $45.2 million, or $1.79 per share. Revenue was reported as $978.6 million.

For the current quarter ending in May, Zumiez said it expects revenue in the range of $202 million to $206 million. Analysts surveyed by Zacks had expected revenue of $315.4 million.

Zumiez shares have increased 24 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $23.68, an increase of 21 percent in the last 12 months.
