NATIONAL SUMMARY

A mild, damp day is in store for the Northeast tomorrow,

with temperatures soaring into the 60s throughout New York

and Pennsylvania. Most other areas across New England can

expect highs in the 50s. It will generally be cloudy with

on-and-off showers. Farther south, conditions will be right

for stormier weather throughout the Carolinas, Georgia and

parts of Alabama. Much cooler weather is poised to

overspread areas from the Great Lakes to the Mississippi

Valley, with windy weather contained to the Midwest. It will

finally be dry, calm and generally sunny throughout the

Plains. Similarly tranquil conditions will persist in the

Western states, although it will remain chilly with strong

wind gusts in Southern California.
