Hillhead vs Uddingston - 28th March
What a few weeks it has been! After starting the second half of the season strongly with wins against Kelburne and Gordonians the Hornets have stuttered in recent weeks. Despite not playing badly, the 1st team have been unable to turn plucky performances against the top teams into wins while competitors around them have done just that.
Hillhead come into this match off the back of three consecutive losses while Uddingston are the team in form, having comfortably dispatched Clydesdale, Western and Gordonians in recent weeks. The fine form of Uddingston has seen them climb the table and stake a claim to fourth position and the European playoff place that comes with it.
When the sides met back in September, it was Hillhead that triumphed 3-2 with goals from Andrew Black, Callum Duke and a late winner from Adam Carmichael. All three are due to return tonight and will be hoping to find the net again in what will be one of the toughest tests of the season. The Uddingston team that steps out on to the pitch tonight is expected to be quite different from the match back in September in both composition and approach.
This one should not be missed - grab your Hillhead colours and take the short trip to South Lanarkshire to support the boys in action.
