Axos Financial: Fiscal 3Q Earnings Snapshot

SAN DIEGO (AP) _ Axos Financial (AX) on Tuesday reported fiscal third-quarter net income of $38.7 million.

The San Diego-based company said it had net income of 63 cents per share.

The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 78 cents per share.

The bank holding company posted revenue of $195.3 million in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $155.3 million, which also did not meet Street forecasts. Seven analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $157.8 million.

Axos Financial shares have increased 30% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $32.72, a drop of 19% in the last 12 months.
