[Baseball] Baseball Drops Season Finale
Facing a makeshift line-up due to several injured players, as well as some being on a power plant outage, the Williamson baseball team was no match for a strong Montgomery County Community College team in a 17-5 loss. The loss snapped Williamson's six game winning streak, while the Mustangs moved their winning streak to five straight.
With only two starters playing at their normal positions, Williamson found themselves down 9-0 after the first inning and were never able to recover. The game started well for Williamson, as they loaded the bases with no one out to start things but then failed to score. That was a bad sign, as on the other hand, Montgomery had no problem scoring early and often. Williamson was able to pull to within 9-3 in the second inning, and 10-4 in the third before Montgomery threw in a seven-run spot in the fourth inning to put the game out of reach.
Bobby Jones (JR/Chichester, PA) homered for Williamson which closed their 2019 season at 11-13.
