Postcard from Churchill Downs

Got my first look at the iconic Twin Spires, which a long time ago, I am told, used to dwarf Churchill Downs. As the years have passed, and corporate America got its hands on the old building, the spires have shrunk away from their once dominant place on the Churchill landscape. Big luxury suites are now crowding the old spires. Too bad. Anyone who comes here, especially for the first time, should marvel in the history that these spires have seen. On a warm, overcast last day of April, it was nice to see them again.
