Butte physician gets 10 years in prison for sexual assault
BUTTE, Mont. (AP) — A longtime Butte physician who pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting six female patients has been sentenced to 10 years in prison.
The Montana Standard reports District Judge Kathy Seeley sentenced Patrick McGree on Wednesday to 20 years in prison with 10 suspended. He will have to register as a Tier 2 sexual offender, someone who is at moderate risk to be a repeat offender.
Prosecutors said McGree assaulted the women in his examination room between January 2012 and July 2017. Three of the women said McGree had prescribed them pain medication.
When the initial charges were filed, he had been a physician in Butte for 31 years and was practicing at the North American Indian Alliance clinic.
