Patroons to play for championship at the Armory
Despite a fourth-place finish in the regular season, the Albany Patroons will play host to the final game of The Basketball League season.
The TBL's oddly constructed best-of-three championship series had the Patroons traveling to Yakima, Wash., for the first two games against the regular-season titlist SkyKings. Because of Albany's 114-111 overtime victory Tuesday night, the series is tied 1-1 and the winner will be determined at 7 p.m. Friday at Washington Avenue Armory.
