Authorities report measles exposure in Puget SOund
TACOMA, Wash. (AP) — Authorities say a man in his 40s from has tested positive for measles after visiting several public places across the the south Puget Sound area earlier this month, including Sea-Tac Airport, Orting, Puyallup and Bonney Lake.
KOMO reports those locations include: Orting High School, a Bonney Lake Discount Tire store, an archery in Puyallup and a walk-in clinic in Bonney Lake.
The main time of exposure would be between May 6-11.
Officials say this patient was not exposed to another measles case in King County, making this a separate incident. The health department is still looking into where this man's exposure originated.
Washington has seen more than 70 cases of measles this year, most in southwest Washington.
