With El Al, SFO lands new flights, Alaska Air gets a new partner

With an eye on expanding to more cities in the United States, El Al Israel Airlines will begin flying non-stop between its Tel Aviv hub and San Francisco Monday. The airline is also entering into a new partnership with Alaska Airlines.

Flights will operate three times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays in the San Francisco to Tel Aviv direction, and on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from Tel Aviv to San Francisco. Combined with United's daily SFO-TLV flights, San Francisco now has a total of 10 flights per day to Israel.
