THIS AFTERNOON...
...GALE WARNING FOR STRONG WINDS AND LARGE SEAS THIS AFTERNOON
THROUGH WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON....
.Gusty west winds and large combined seas will continue through
Wednesday. Winds will strengthen this afternoon with gusts
possibly exceeding 35 kt. Winds will diminish late Wednesday
afternoon.
...SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM PDT THIS
AFTERNOON...
...GALE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 5 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO
5 PM PDT WEDNESDAY...
* Winds...Northwest winds gusting 30 to 35 kts this evening and
tonight, strongest over the Outer Waters.
* Waves/Seas...Combined seas 10 to 13 ft over the Inner Waters,
and 12 to 16 over the Outer Waters, highest near San Clemente
Island.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Small Craft Advisory means that wind speeds of 21 to 33 knots
are expected to produce hazardous wave conditions to small craft.
Inexperienced mariners...especially those operating smaller
vessels should avoid navigating in these conditions.
A Gale Warning means winds of 34 to 47 knots are imminent or
occurring. Operating a vessel in gale conditions requires
experience and properly equipped vessels. It is highly
recommended that mariners without the proper experience seek safe
harbor prior to the onset of gale conditions.
