ESPN's documentary series delves into the story of Janet Guthrie, who in 1977 became the first woman to qualify for the Indy 500. But soon after finding success at her sport's highest level, Guthrie's career inexplicably stalled. The film is comprised almost entirely of archival material including local television coverage, network broadcasts, promotional films, home movies, private photo and film collections. The documentary also includes period interviews from Jim McKay, Jackie Stewart and Howard Cosell, and is peppered with contemporary interviews from Guthrie's crew members, competitors and Guthrie herself.
