Man sentenced life imprisonment for minor girl's rape, murder

The court of additional and sessions judge (ASJ) Dr Abdul Majid has sentenced life imprisonment till last breath in jail to a convict identified as Devi Singh (35) a native of village Bhainsra, Jaisalmer district in Rajasthan who has been found guilty of sexual assault, murder and throwing the dead body of a 6-year-old girl after raping her.

GULFPORT, Miss. (AP) — A pharmaceutical company plans to add 200 jobs to its operations on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. WLOX-TV reported that Geri-Care Pharmaceuticals Gulfport is expanding. Gulfport Mayor Billy Hewes says the plant in his city makes most of the antacids sold in Mississippi and Alabama. Gov. Phil Bryant attended the ribbon cutting ceremony Tuesday. McDonald's reports slight revenue miss

McDonald's Corp. shares slid 1.8% in Wednesday premarket trading then swung to a 0.2% increase after the fast-food giant reported a slight fourth-quarter revenue miss. Net income totaled $1.42 billion, or $1.82 per share, up from $698.7 million, or 87 cents per share, last year. Adjusted EPS was $1.97, beating the $1.89 FactSet consensus. The Delhi High Court has termed as "unacceptable" that the facial recognition software adopted by the police has not helped in cracking any missing children case, as over 5,000 kids who disappeared from the national capital in last three years remain untraced.
