A youth was charred to death and two others suffered burn injuries after a fire broke out near Mata Vaishno Devi shrine in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir Wednesday, police said. The fire broke out in a tin-shed in the Bhavan area near the shrine in the early hours, trapping three workers of a private Dhaba (food stall), who were using it as their accommodation, a police official said. State-owned Indian Oil Corp (IOC) Wednesday reported 91 per cent decline in the third quarter net profit on account of lower refinery margins and inventory losses due to falling oil prices. The net profit of Rs 716.82 crore, or Rs 0.76 per share, in October-December 2018 was 90.9 per cent lower than Rs 7,883.22 crore reported in the year-ago period, IOC Chairman Sanjiv Singh told reporters here. A special PMLA court here has sentenced four persons, including two Malaysians, and a firm to seven years of rigorous imprisonment and slapped a fine of Rs 5 lakh on the convicts for money laundering linked to illegal possession of narcotic drugs, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) said on Wednesday.
