Der Deutsche Arnd Peiffer hat am Mittwoch bei den Biathlon-Weltmeisterschaften in Östersund nach fehlerfreier Schießleistung das 20-km-Einzel gewonnen. Der noch bis Montag 31-Jährige gewann 1:08,7 Min. vor Sensationsmann Wladimir Iliew, der Bulgare hatte wie der drittplatzierte Norweger Tarjei Bö (+1:09,1) einen Schießfehler. Bester Österreicher wurde Felix Leitner als lediglich 30. (+4:02,7/3).
