The Congress Tuesday complained to the Telangana State Election Commission on the "unilateral" rejection of the nomination of party nominee for Vikarabad Zilla Parishad chairperson post, Sunita Sampath, in the rural local body elections. Congress MLA Rohit Reddy and other party leaders met state election commissioner Nagi Reddy and complained about the rejection of nomination, a Congress release said. A Central Reserve Police Force jawan allegedly committed suicide in Nagpur after suffering depression from illness, police said Tuesday. Shyam Pyarelal Netam (41), posted in Umred in Nagpur, went out for a walk on Sunday and then hanged himself from a tree, said an official. His body was spotted by passersby on Monday morning, he said. "He was suffering from depression as he was unwell for the past two months. Netam hails from Chhattisgarh," he added.
