Trump Commits to 'Phenomenal' Trade Deal with Britain as Protests Rage

President Donald Trump and outgoing British Prime Minister Theresa May emphasized the promise of a trade agreement between the two countries during a joint press conference in London Tuesday, even as Britain faces an uncertain future with its exit from the European Union later this year. The two leaders spoke to reporters, as tens of thousands took to the streets to protest against Trump. White House correspondent Patsy Widakuswara reports.

US House Votes to Protect 'Dreamer' Immigrants

The U.S. House of Representatives on Tuesday passed legislation to end the threat of deportation that has long hung over undocumented immigrants known as "Dreamers" who entered the United States when they were children. By a vote of 237-187, the Democratic-controlled House approved the legislation despite opposition from the White House, which said the move would "reward illegal immigration." Freedom House, an independent watchdog organization, reports that new forms of media repression and manipulation are spreading in traditionally open societies, from Central Europe to the United States, where it cited "new and are very worrying" attacks on journalists and media outlets by the Trump administration.
