In a setback to the government's efforts for the passage of the triple talaq bill in Rajya Sabha,BJP ally JD(U) said on Saturday that it will oppose the draft legislation in the Upper House. JD(U) spokesperson K C Tyagi also slammed the bill, which criminalises instant divorce by Muslim men with a jail term of up to three years, saying it is of "imposing nature" and will "definitely create a lack of trust in society".
