The Mrs has an iPhone Xs Max that we need unlocking to make use of it abroad. She can do it through Vodafone but it takes a couple of weeks and I could do with it being done quicker than that.

There are various websites that offer to unlock these in 24 to 48 hours for around 15 quid. Does anybody have any experience using these sites and can recommend one? Or know how I cam get this model of phone unlocked faster?

When I enquired I was told that only the registered user can unlock it via their network provider. If you pay a High Street store they merely go through your provider with your permission.

For me the issue here is Vodafone saying it takes 2 weeks - it really doesn’t - I’d go back to them about that.

But I’d also check that it is actually locked - I bought a 2nd hand one off a mate who believed it was locked to his provider but when we set out to unlock it we found out it it... Читать дальше...
