Child dies as door frame fell on her in C R Park

A two-year-old girl died allegedly after a door frame fell on her in south Delhi's C R Park area on Wednesday, police said. The deceased was identified as Deepa, they said, adding the victim's family was working as labourers in the house where the incident occurred. The child was playing in the house along with her sister and suddenly a door frame fell on her which resulted in her death, police said. The body has been sent for postmortem, police said.

72 institutions fined for breeding of mosquitoes in premises: NDMC

From public schools to government office premises, 72 institutions have been penalised by civic authorities in north Delhi in nearly the last five months for breeding of mosquito larvae in their premises, officials said on Wednesday. Fadnavis flags off trial run of Navi Mumbai Metro Line one

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Wednesday flagged off the trial run of the first Belapur to Pendhar Metro rail project in Navi Mumbai. Three of family involved in narcotics arrested for attacking cop in outer Delhi

Delhi Police arrested a man, his wife and mother for allegedly being involved in illegal sale of liquor and narcotics and attacking a cop, an official said on Wednesday. The accused have been identified as Sumit (28), Pinky (27) and Shanti Devi (50), they said. According to police, on Tuesday night, the family assaulted a police constable, tore his uniform, and snatched his mobile phone in outer Delhi's Hind Vihar area. Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Wednesday launched two insurance schemes for traders here. An insurance cover of Rs 5 lakh would be provided under the 'Mukhyamantri VyapariSamuhikNiji DurghatnaBeemaYojana', while an insurance cover ranging from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 25 lakh would be provided under the 'Mukhyamantri VyapariKshatipurti Beema Yojana'. Meghalaya health insurance scheme records 54pc registration

The Meghalaya Health Insurance Scheme (MHIS) -- a convergence of the Centre's Ayushman Bharat -- has recorded 54 per cent registration in the state, a minister said on Wednesday. Over 6,000 hospitals have been empanelled across the country under the MHIS scheme, Health Minister A L Hek said.
