Teen found hanging from tree

A 14-year-old boy, who was suffering from mental illness, was found hanging from a tree in north Delhi on Friday morning, police said. The teenager was found hanging from a tree in Wazirabad area at around 7 am, a senior officer said. According to information, the deceased's parents went to Mumbai for job. His father had passed away when he was two years old. After his father's death, his mother did not return and married someone else. He was staying with his grandparents in Delhi. At Army meet, Rajnath draws attention to use of unconventional weapons in future

RIL yet to decide on adoption of newer rate of corporate taxation

WTO members could not agree on a way forward regarding non-violation complaints at the meeting of the Council for Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS) on 17-18 October. Following up on previous discussions, WTO members also broadened their debate on the relation between IP and innovation, and IP and the public interest. Also, for the first time, they discussed how best to ensure an inclusive approach to transparency notification requirements in the WTO.

WTO members examine impact of direct shipment requirements on preference use by LDCs

The impact of product rules of origin on the use of tariff preferences by least developed countries (LDCs) was the focus of discussion at a meeting of the Committee on Rules of Origin on 17-18 October. WTO members examined the impact of direct consignment requirements on the use of tariff preferences by LDCs and whether they are the cause of low utilization rates. Members also discussed the use of tariff preferences in China and reviewed a joint proposal for enhancing transparency in non-preferential rules of origin.
